How can I enable automated text messages for a new or existing activity?

Once you have created your automated Text Message Campaign, follow this final step to enable the campaign to your activities and your referrals will receive the automated text message.

If you have text messages enabled and created your Text Message Campaign, please follow the instructions below


For a new activity:

  1. Click on the Activities button at the top of the dashboard.
  2. Click Create New Activity
  3. Fill in the fields
  4. On the right hand side there is a section called Text Messaging
  5. Depending on the text message set up there maybe multiple text message options available, tick the appropriate messages
  6. Set the limit of messages you want to be sent for each text message. Zero is unlimited. See below for an explanation.
  7. Click Save

For an existing activity:

  1. Click on the Activities button at the top of the dashboard.
  2. Click Edit next to the appropriate activity
  3. On the right hand side there is a section called Text Messaging
  4. Depending on the text message set up there maybe multiple text message options available, tick the appropriate messages
  5. Set the limit of messages you want to be sent for each text message. Zero is unlimited. See below for an explanation.
  6. Click Save.

This scenario shows how to configure text messages for 12 weeks with an activity session that takes place once a week with a confirmation message and a reminder for the first three weeks to be sent.

You would enter 1 next to confirmation message and 3 for the reminder messages.

This is only true if you book each session individually. If you block book the sessions then only one confirmation and one reminder is sent.

If you would like unlimited text messages to be sent when the template trigger applies, for example to allow referrals to book / cancel / re-book please add a 0 to the Max message box.
